How to Plan the Perfect Picnic

Hello!!! I hope you are all having a good week so far. I have been really enjoying this week because it is kinda like “dead week” before I really have to start buckling down and studying for finals. I also found out that I am registered for all the classes I need to graduate in December and got a raise at work! I decided that a picnic was the perfect way to celebrate.

Spring is the perfect time for a picnic because of all the blooms on the trees, the smell of freshly cut grass, and of course the warmer weather. There is something that is just so quaint and peaceful about finding a private area to lay down a blanket and eat cheese and fruit, while watching the sun set. It is the perfect date night idea or a great way to just relax and celebrate (especially if you bring some bubbly).

Although it is easy to just grab a blanket and pack some PB&J sandwiches, some occasions call for a little more thought and planning. For me, this meant a run to Target for all the essentials to make the perfect picnic. Here is a list with all my picnic picks!

Ps. You can also find my outfit details at the end of this post.

1. A basic basket

Any basic basket will do or you can get a specialized basket specifically for picnics.

2. A blanket (duh!)

I brought a throw from home, but is also a good idea to get a blanket that is specifically made for picinics or something that you do not mind getting a little dirty.

3. Cute dishes

I bought some cute plates and cups from Target, but I also think thrifting some dishes would add a cute touch.

4. A cheese board

Target also has a great selection of affordable cheese boards, but a small cutting board also works.

5. Food

No picinic is complete without cheese, fruit, a French baguette, and a sparkling beverage.
