Spring Trends Volume I: Windowpane Print

Dear Reader,

Today marks the first of a series of posts all dedicated to spring trends.

With the new season I always find new trends to be a refreshing way to change up my wardrobe. Don’t get me wrong though, not all trends are for me. Just because something is a trend doesn’t mean you should adopt it unless it’s something that truly sparks joy for you.

So, without further ado, here is the first spring trend that truly sparks joy for me…

Windowpane Print

To me, windowpane print is like what plaid is to winter or gingham is to summer. It is a print that is as versatile as it is classy. The print reminds me of the large front windows of my grandmothers house when she used to live here in Colorado.

My Windowpane Print Picks for Spring

1. Navy & Cream GMG Dress

I wore this dress for for a trip into the city last weekend where Josh and I visited Union Station, Denver’s grand train station. I love the puff sleeves, square neckline and button details. It even has pockets!

2. Warm Weather Pajamas

I’m a sucker for cute pajamas and with the weather warming up these would be perfect for those hotter nights.

3. Wide Leg Cropped Pants

Noticing a trend? All my favorite windowpane items thus far come in navy and cream. Don’t worry if this color combo is not for you, these also come in a yellow and white combination that I think I like even more!

4. Tie Front Pleated Dress

A reverse version of the navy and cream trend. This dress v-neck dress could be paired with a cardigan for work or heels and a clutch for a night out.

5. High-neck Blouse

Although the pattern is more checkered than windowpane, I could not keep this top off my list. I absolutely adore the ruffled neckline and balloon sleeves.

Stay tuned for more spring trends too come!

Xoxo,

Cara
