Valentines Ideas for Every Love Language

Dear Readers.

Have you ever read the book, The Five Love Languages? It’s about the 5 ways people like to give and receive love and is a must read for anyone and everyone, not just people in relationships.

It got me thinking about the different ways to spoil your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day based on their love language.

Personally I am a gifts and quality time person, but that doesn’t mean that’s what my significant other is. Josh is a physical touch person. It’s important to know what your other is so that you can show them love in a way that they respond to best.

With that being said here are 5 valentines ideas to resonate with each and every type of love language.

1. Words of Affirmation

Make a handmade card and inside write down all the reasons why you love that person. Don’t forget to affirm them by including compliments and recognition of achievements.

2. Acts of Service

Surprise your loved one with a clean house and breakfast in bed. This act of service is sure to make them fall in love all over again.

3. Receiving Gifts

Buy your valentine that item they have been eyeing for a long time. If you don’t know what they want, get them a monogrammed watch that will make them think of you every time they put it on. They will love their new gift.

4. Quality Time

Plan the perfect date. Might I recommend a picnic or night of arts and crafts. Your significant other will love all the thought you put in as well as being able to spend quality time together.

5. Physical Touch

Give your valentine a back and/or foot message, complete with essential oils and hot towel wraps. Your touch will give them all the love they need.
