Bows and Little Blue Books

After snagging two Gal Meets Glam dresses at the summer encore sale, I ran across an older style Gal Meets Glam dress on Mercari that was too good a deal to pass up. And just like that my GMG collection doubled… GMG collection roundup post to come.

Being an older style (it may even be from one of Julia’s first collections) the dress is no longer available for sale, but both Poshmark and Mercari are great options for secondhand shopping. Plus I will be linking more bow styles at the bottom of this post.

I am a sucker for anything with bows. One bow, good. Two bows, great. But three bows, there’s no words. Not to mention I feel like Wendy from Peter Pan or Bell in this timeless beauty. It would then only make sense to read a classic novel while wearing such a classic piece.

At the beginning of the year I stumbled across a little blue book at my local library. It was one of those books that had a recommendation tag attached to it. The recommendation read something like this “a true classic that is both historical and romantically charming.” I love historical fiction and everything classical, so this book seemed to be right up my alley. Ever since I have been obsessed with the Macmillan Collector’s Library. The little blue books are convenient to throw into your purse and oh so charming, not to mention each story is a true classic.

With that below I am sharing my favorite classic read, along with some timeless bow pieces.

A Town Like Alice

One of my favorite books of all time. The story of a girl who is a prisoner of war. Along her journey she meets many people who she ends up helping down the road.
